Candy “The Cane” Bacon

Adopted:  April 21, 2007

Crossed Over:  August 14. 2009

My beloved Candy Cane,  known as “The Cane”, passed over suddenly August 14, 2009.  I adopted her from MSRH in April of 2007.  She had had one owner who had passed away and then was dumped in a shelter cause of her senior age of 10.  She may have been 10, but was unaware of her age as she played like a puppy until her last day.  She could walk 5 miles a day and still be ready for more. She climbed tress, went after ducks in a pond and all who knew her remarked that she was ageless!

Fondly called the “The Queen” by some, she had personality plus!  An alpha female through and though…she knew what she liked and wanted and got it! Though I only had her for 2 years and 4 months it seemed like she had always been a part of my life. We had a bond like no other four legged furry one before her.  I still “see” her in all her favorite places and can not watch a duck on the water nor squirrel run up a tree without feeling the tremendous loss of her presence in my life. She was as no other and will be sorely missed.

Play well my sweet girl with Patia at The Bridge until we meet again.

Love Always, Karin Bacon
