Adonis
The most beautiful of young men was the son of King Sinyras of Cyprus and Myrrha. The gods turned Myrrha into a tree and, out of its trunk, Adonis was born. When Aphrodite saw him she fell desperately in love, and when he was killed while hunting a wild boar, she pleaded with Zeus to bring him back. Zeus agreed but Adonis had to stay in the underworld during winter and be with Aphrodite in the summer thus making the vegetation die in the winter and blossom in the summer. So - as summer approaches - I am your blossom! I’m Adonis, a most handsome male, salt & pepper Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about three years old and I weigh thirty pounds! My hair is growing back as you can see in the two pictures on the right and, just as I suspected, the ladies just can’t get enough of me! But I only have love for a forever home family! I’m very affectionate and I love to be petted. I’m bigger than many Schnauzers but that doesn’t stop me from thinking I’m a lap dog! I’m crate trained but still need help and practice with my house training. I’m working on it….a handsome man should also be house trained I’m told! Sometimes I make funny noises to entertain you. My foster mom says that I know how to ’moo’! Stop it mom….handsome men don’t moo. Spring is here and I want to be the blossom that brightens your home!
