Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston

The adoption application must be filled out prior to contacting MSRH. After you fill out the application you can contact MSRH. All applications wil be held for thirty days. If MSRH has not been contacted, the application will be deleted. If you are interested in a specifc rescue, please fill out the application and let us know in the application.

Be sure to also contact MSRH if you find a new companion and are no longer interested in adopting a schnauzer so that we can get through applications quickly.

Volunteers of Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston, Inc. are dedicated to this breed. We ask many questions of prospective adopters because we want the rescued dogs to find a home that’s just the right match. Many of them have left a less-than-desirable place and we want their next home to be theirs for the rest of their lives. Please be sure to educate yourself before choosing a dog of any breed. If you’ve never had Miniature Schnauzers before, please read and learn about the breed, before deciding if this is the dog for you.

Please note: our adoption fees generally run between $250 and $350, but there certainly exceptions. This fee goes toward the vet bill for the animal to be completely vetted, which includes spay/neuter, yearly shots, heartworm test, and if heartworm positive, be treated to kill the worms. If their teeth need cleaning, we do that also. We get them healthy and ready for their new forever home. Also, if you are interested in a particular dog listed on our site, please include that information in your application.
