Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston

5-New Beginnings

*** ADOPTED *** Mallory Jane

      (before)

Just in time for this cold weather, I have a new sweater…..but more importantly, I have a new forever home!  My new mom is Jean Dooling and she’s taking great care of me!  I have a new sister, Sara, to play with and I’m settling in just fine.  I found the remote control to the TV, a spot on the couch and now I’m set!  I’ve come a long way since MSRH found me - and I’m grateful!  Now it’s early to bed, late to rise and yes, a treat sounds just great!  Stay tuned for more stories about me in my new forever home!  Thanks MSRH!

*** ADOPTED *** Layla

Now don’t we just look as happy as can be?  I know I am having finally found my new forever home.  I have two brothers and a wonderful sister who I love to play with. My sister and brothers are also from MSRH.  My mommie calls me The She Devil, because I guess I am a little devil.  I can keep this place in an uproar all the time, always looking for something to get into or something to play with.  In a good way.  I mean, I don’t want to jeopardize ‘treat time’!!  I’d like to be “the boss” but my sister won’t go for it, I guess she was here first.  This is just like a dream…….Thanks MSRH - - you saved my life!!

*** ADOPTED *** Eddie

 (forever home)     (at MSRH)

“Eddie is doing fantastic!  He’s enjoying his new year, learning to fetch and meeting all the four-footed friends in the neighborhood.  We like having Eddie as part of the family!”  Those are the words of my new mom and dad.  It’s great here!  They’re going to do the rub the tummy thing and I’m going to do the faithful companion thing!  Thanks MSRH - I appreciate this ’second chance’!  Best, Eddie

*** ADOPTED *** Coalton

“You load sixteen tons and what do ya get?”  A forever home and a new four-legged Pomeranian friend named Cubby, that’s what!  I’m so excited.  From a life that began in the Tennessee coal mines (no, not really!) to a loving forever home where my back gets scratched, my tummy gets rubbed and there’s all kinds of things for me to do (yes, really!).  Thanks MSRH - you were there when I needed you!!

*** ADOPTED *** Cody (previously Alex)

I’m Cody and this is my new mom, Lisa and my new “sister”, Taylor.  I used to be Alex but Cody has a ring to it and it still has two syllables!  I got some new stuff at the pet store and I’m heading to my forever home!  This is the best Christmas present ever!!  Taylor and I are going to be best friends - I can tell already!  I wonder if Mom will let me sleep in her bed.  Or maybe Mom’s bed.  Yea, sure, that will work.  MSRH did it again - they picked the best family for me!  Stay tuned for new pictures and new stories about my forever home adventures!

*** ADOPTED *** Georgia

“Just an old, sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind”………..

Someone must have been a Ray Charles fan ’cause I’m outta here and off to my new forever home!  I bet there’s sunshine, some nice music to relax by…..ahhhh.  This will be something special.  If this can happen to me, it can happen to any rescue!  I love second chances!  Stay tuned for new pictures of me in my new forever home (after a few dog treats to put some meat back on my bones!).

“Still in peaceful dreams I see, the road leads back to YOU” ……. Love, GEORGIA

*** ADOPTED *** Mandy

Wow!  The “long cool woman in a salt/pepper dress” didn’t last long at MSRH!  Maybe it was my good looks or my long legs or maybe it was just that some loving family needed me to fill a spot on their lap!  In any event, Mandy is on her way to her new forever home!  I’m so excited!  Stay tuned for new pictures and new stories about my adventures in my new home!  Thanks MSRH!!

*** ADOPTED *** Jack (previously Kyle)

  (new home)

A forever home is the greatest place on earth!  Look at all these great smiles - me included - as we get ready for forever home transport!  Being part Schnauzer and Dachshund, I always said that ”variety is the spice of life”.  Apparently my new family thought so too!  We’re having a great time together.  They changed my name to Jack which suits me just fine.  I can also answer to ‘treats’, ‘tummy rubs’ and another number of other names too!  My new family reports they are thrilled to have me in their home and I am thrilled to be here.  Another match made in heaven by MSRH! Thanks!!  -Jack

*** ADOPTED *** Simon

MSRH did it again!  They found the perfect forever home for me.  Lil’ ol’ Simon has a home with air conditioning and everything (I’m still amazed by the feel of air conditioning after being on the streets)!  I’m going to shower them with love and they’re going to play with me all day! Stay tuned for some photos of me in my forever home along with a story about my adventures there.  Now, back to that air conditioning!  Ahh……..

*** ADOPTED *** Judd

Wow - that didn’t take long.  I knew the human girls would just love Judd the Stud!  I’m on my way to my new forever home!  You know, people have such big hearts …. and I’m not going to disappoint them!  I’ll be on my best behavior.  In fact, I think I’ll stop chewing on the leash.  OK, I’ll try to stop chewing on the leash!  Stay tuned for more pictures and an exciting story about me in my new forever home!
