****ADOPTED****Elliott

Elliot is a true sweetheart. He is a little shy. He was probably abused because he’s very cautious, at first. He still doesn’t trust that thing that takes photos! He is about 2 years young. He loves to take walks, he doesn’t bark, he is house trained, and uses a dog door. Since he is shy, he should go to a home without young children. He does very well with his 8 and 11 year old foster human siblings, though. Elliot chooses to sleep in his crate or on a dog bed, even though he’s allowed to sleep with the humans. It might be that the bed is just too darn crowded! Elliot has cropped ears and a docked tail. He has a beautiful spotted coat of hair that is very soft. He loves to be petted. He’s ok with other dogs, but is not very playful with them and can get possesive of his toys. He’d be more of a human companion than a dog companion. He has successfully come through heartworm treatment and is ready to find his furever home.

****ADOPTED****Sam

My name is Sam. I was found at a construction site and some good samaritans took me home, cleaned me up and called MSRH. Of course, MSRH came and picked me up!!!! I am 8 years young and such a sweet boy, even if I do say so myself!!! Well, actually, my foster mom tells me that all the time, so guess it is true. I have had all my shots, microchipped and neutered. I am heartworm negative and ready to go. I can use a doggy door and am crate trained. I can walk on a leash and I enjoy taking a stroll every day.If you would like a companion that is very mild mannered and would love to sit next to you and watch tv or just hang out with you, please ask for Sam when filling out an application.

****ADOPTED****Monte

My name is Monte and I am two years old. I am a schnoodle and love to play. I am still a little bit in the chewing stage, but if I am kept busy, I don’t think I would chew anything up that I am not suppose to. It is usually just paper and soft toys. I have not touched the furniture.I have had all of my shots and have been microchipped. I love to go on long walks and will be your loyal companion forever. I am crate trained but would prefer to not be in a crate. I like to sleep in bed with my foster mom and I love to ride in the car. I am housetrained for the most part and use a doggy door.

If you would like to see me, please fill out an application and ask for Monte.

****ADOPTED****Jingle and Belle

jingle-and-belle.jpg
This is Belle (on left) and Jingle (on right). They are 2 1/2 years old and 2 years old. They were found together on Christmas eve (hence, the names) and need to stay together. Jingle gets very anxious if he is not with Belle. They have both had all of their shots and have been either neutered or spayed. They were heartworm negative and have been micro chipped. They both know how to use the doggy door and are quick learners. They have not been around a lot of other dogs and are not really good with other dogs. They sleep in the same crate at their foster home and they also eat in their crate. They can walk on a leash and are pretty much house broken except if it rains. Jingle does not like to go outside if it is raining or has rained. Belle does not care one way or another., If you would like to adopt two adorable Schnauzers, please ask for Belle and Jingle.
**Jingle and Belle can only go to a home with no cats**

****ADOPTED****Sierra and Baby

sierra-and-baby3.JPGsierra-and-baby2.JPG
Sierra, about two years old, and Baby, about one year old are probably mother and daughter. They are very sweet and well behaved little girls who are very anxious to please. Even thought they are dependent on each other, sleep with each other, and play with each other, they love their humans. They will follow you around the house waiting for you to sit down so they can be in your lap. Sierra weighs about 16 pounds and has one ear slightly higher than the other so that she always appears to be asking a question. Precious Baby only weighs about 12 pounds. They are both house broken and love to use the doggie door, and they will even sleep in a crate if you insist. If you want two little dogs to dote on and two to dote on you, they’re the ones. Sierra and Baby must be adopted together.

****ADOPTED****Cotton

cotton2.JPGcotton.JPG
Hi everybody! My name is Cotton - but my Foster Daddy calls me “Gremlin”. He nicknamed me because of the cute little tuft of hair that grows on top of my head! I’m white like ….well, like Cotton. I’m just over a year old, and weigh in at 16 lb. I have a docked tail and natural ears; I’m heart worm negative and take heart guard to make sure I stay that way.

I’m a boy, but I’ve been neutered and also micro-chipped. My foster Mommy and Daddy say I’m as smart as a whip! I don’t know what that means, but I learn quickly and try to do everything I can to please them. I get along great with everyone, especially my foster brothers. We have a blast playing chase and fetch.

I love to go for walks - never seem to get enough. I also am great on a leash and I’m crate trained. My last Foster home had a doggie door but this one doesn’t, so I was a little confused for a few days but I’m learning. I am also getting the hang of these one word commands my Foster Mommy uses all the time: “SIT”, “STAY”, “WAIT”, “COME”, “UP”, and “HEEL”!

I especially want you to know that I am a very well behaved lover boy, looking for my forever home. If you pick me, I’ll give you lots and lots of Schnauzer kisses, and will do everything I can to make you love me as much as my Foster Mommy & Daddy do, because I’m a really special boy. So when you fill out those papers, just ask for me…Cotton!

****ADOPTED****Spencer

Spencer is a 2 year old neutered male. He has cropped ears and a cropped tILe. He weighs in at about 19 pounds. He is doing well on house training and likes using the dog door. He loves walks. He is very affectionate with his adult humans, but not always with the little ones. He enjoys playing with other canines as long as they are the pretty females. This boy has a lot of personality! He’ll talk to you all through dinner. We think he wants a piece of the action. If you are ready for a great companion in your kidless home, he’s ready for you!

****ADOPTED****Oscar

oscar.jpg
Oscar is about 1 year old, is very playful and simply loves all his doggie friends here at Happy Tails. He loves to play with toys as well as play-wrestle all day long with his buddies. He is very smart and for a treat he will pick up any trick in no time! He is crate trained and walks well on a leash. His fur is not long enough yet to give him the typical Schnauzer haircut because the groomer had to shave him down in regard to his deeply matted coat. Oscar would love to go to a home with another doggie buddy as well as he can be your only snuggle bunny!

****ADOPTED****Hydie and Sophie

Hello,

Our names are Hydie and Sophie. We are sisters and must be adopted together. We are both very sweet S/P girls. We have natural ears and docked tails. Hydie weighs about 30 lbs and Sophie about 28 pounds (we are big boned German girls). On our next birthday, which is March 14, we will be 3 years old.

We are happy, energetic and loving girls. We know the basic commands of sit and stay, are house trained and know how to use a doggie door. We like going for walks and are excellent travelers.

Our favorite thing to do is play all day with each other, but at night we love being near our human, cuddling and having our ears and bellies rubbed.

We have lots of Schnauzer hugs and kisses to give to the special family that adopts us and takes us to our forever loving home. If you are an experienced pet owner with time to spend with us please mention our names, Hydie and Sophie, when filling out the adoption application. We really would prefer to be the only 4 legged companions in your life, we only like sharing with each other.

Love,

Hydie and Sophie

****ADOPTED****Caesar

caesar.jpg
caesar2.jpg
Caesar is a very sweet boy. He was picked up as a stray in Austin — severly matted and had puncture wounds from evidentally getting attacked by a large dog. The matting probably helped him to not get injured more severly. He has been fully vetted and will be very handsome once his hair grows out. He would be good with children, adults, and other dogs. Caesar loves to be cuddled. He weighs 15.5# and is approx 2 yrs old.
