Fill in the blank:  “Who’s peeking out from under a stairway, calling a name that’s lighter than air?  Who’s bending down to give me a rainbow?  Everyone knows it’s ______!   Who’s tripping down the streets of the city, smiling at everybody she sees?  Who’s reaching out to capture a moment?  Everyone knows it’s ______!”  No, not “Windy” from the The Association’s song.  It’s me, Wendy!!  I’m a female, salt & pepper Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail.  I’m three years old and I weigh thirteen pounds (lighter than air, remember?!!).  I really love the master of the house and though I play well with other dogs, I’d just as soon be by my master - at your feet or in your lap!  I’m very attentive, like I’m ready for your next command.  I’m a confident girl and my foster mom says I knew my way around the house the minute I stepped foot into it!  I bet I can find my way around your house too!  Let’s try!  I’ve got a rainbow ready to give to you - so ask for me, Wendy, on your MSRH application.  Adoption Fee:  $350.

And some day, when he’s needed, we will see him again - on his fearsome steed Tornado - riding like the wind, his sword blazing in the sun… leaping, jumping, swinging through the air…..”  I’m Logan but my dad calls me ‘Bandit’….because I stole a piece of his heart!  With my mask and my nickname, I think I could be the next Zorro.  And there he goes - running full speed through the yard.  My foster siblings look in amazement as I, Zorro, carve my famous “Z” in the grass as I speed by!  I’m a salt & pepper, male Schnauzer.  I am two years old and I weigh a slightly thin 19 pounds.  I have natural ears and a docked tail.  I love long walks…..and at the end, I want to just curl up in your lap (to get my Zorro Zzzzzz’s)!  I’ll stay there until you make me get up!  I’m also crate trained and I sleep in there at night.  I’m not quite house trained but I’m following my foster siblings’ lead and I’m making good progress.  I get along very well with other dogs.  At my foster house, we play ball as often as we can.  I - Zorro - am the fastest !  If you have a yard that needs a fresh “Z” in the grass, let’s get that adoption application filled out right away.  Remember to ask for me - Logan - on that MSRH application!  Adoption Fee:  $350

“Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow.  Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead.  Just walk beside me and be my friend.”   I’m Fifi and that’s how I feel about my good friend Annie Bella who’s also in MSRH’s care.  We’re good buddies!  We got to know each other during the heartworm treatments - we’re both cured!!  I’m a female, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer.  I’m about 1-1/2 years old and I weigh 17 pounds.  I have natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m very active and my foster mom says I’m very sweet and loving.  I think I’m house trained, my mom says she thinks I’m house trained (no accidents yet…because she lets me out often!)!  I’m close in any event!  My friend Annie tells me I need to ‘get with the program’.  You know how honest some friends can be!  My foster mom is really working with me!  I do not like to be put in a crate - at all!  I am extremely quiet - and not just on the Schnauzer scale either - I mean I rarely bark!!  I could play all day if given the chance and I get along with all the dogs here.  In fact, I get along so well, I think it would be best if I was not the only dog in your forever home.  Hey - I have an idea - if you don’t have one of your own, you could adopt Annie Bella too!  That’s probably a lot of ask and it’s OK.  Annie and I have this saying, “Promise you won’t forget me, because if I thought you would, I’d never leave!”  Winnie the Pooh said that!  Ask for me, Fifi on your MSRH application.  Adoption Fee:  $450

Man, I am so getting my butt kicked at the dog park today !!  A striped sweater?  In the Spring?  I’m never going to live this down.  What is this - some kind of joke?  I get it - Alan Funt’s nearby isn’t he?  Where’s the Candid Camera?   These MSRH folks are such kidders.   I’m Devon, a male Schnauzer mix, and I’m two years old and weigh just eight pounds.  I have natural ears and a natural tail.  I’m a heartworm treatment survivor!  Maybe that’s why they put me in stripes.  My foster mom calls me a Schnorkie - part Schnauzer and part Yorkie.  Geez.  There they go again!  I’m a really sweet guy and I just love to play!!  I’m also a cuddler!  I love sleeping in the big bed but I’ll sleep in my crate too.  I play really well with other dogs - in fact, my doggie interpersonal skills at day care really charmed the staff!  I am crate trained and seem to be completely house trained.  Let me bring some fun (and fashion) to your place!  Ask for me, Devon, on your MSRH application.  Adoption Fee:  $450

The charm of George Clooney (Ocean’s Eleven….ladies begin to faint just thinking about it).  The strength and protection of Kevin Costner (the Guardian and the Bodyguard).  The wit of Robin Williams (Mrs. Doubtfire).  Yes, we’re all three of these guys packed into a Terrific Twosome named Brady and Brody!   We’re brothers and we’re joined at the hip!  We’re truly charming together - just ask our friends at Happy Tails!  We’re also protective of our human friends - no, not like Rambo….but in a Guardian sort of way….like Kevin!  And we like to have a little fun too!  We are still young after all!  At the end of the day, after we get you all tucked in, we’ll be ready to relax at the foot of your big bed waiting for tomorrow so we can do it all again!  I’m Brady, the darker one and my brother, Brody, is the lighter color.  We’re part Schnauzer and part, well, we don’t really know.  Mom took a little “walk on the wild side”……and dad split when he heard the words ’child support’.  We’re about one year old and we weigh 19 and 17 pounds respectively.  We have natural ears and docked tails.  We’re also crate trained!  We really like to play and because we’re so close, we must be adopted together.  We also prefer an all-adult home with someone at home during the day.  That’s not too much to ask is it?  In return, we’ll charm you, protect you and make you laugh.  All the time!!  So ask for us, Brady and Brody, on your MSRH application.  Total Adoption Fee:  $250

“You will find happiness”.  This is the meaning of the words “Lily of the Valley” (the English translation of the Hebrew word ’shoshana’ from Song of Songs, 2:1).  The flower is also known as “Our Lady’s Tears” since Christians believe the Lily of the Valley came into being from Eve’s tears as she was driven with Adam from the Garden of Eden.  My name fits me because the tears were flowing when I was driven from my previous owner’s home.  But now that I’m with MSRH, things are much better.  And things will be a lot better when I find my forever home!  I’m a female, salt & pepper Schnauzer with cropped ears and a short, docked tail.  I’m about seven years old and I weigh 15 pounds.   Mom says I’m very sweet, lovable and house trained!  I love my walks and I’m walking further every day - I’ve never felt so alive!!  I get along with other dogs.  I like to be in charge but I can be a compromiser too!  Mom also says I’m very well behaved - calm in the car and quiet in the house!  I also like the neighborhood children.  I like to be right by my master so I’d like a home where someone can be around and give me lots of attention.  If you’re ready for a little happiness in your home, I’m sure ready to be happy!  I will find happiness!  Ask for me, Lilly Anna, on your MSRH application.  Adoption Fee:  $250

Hey folks - Gentry the Gentleman is my name.  I was just reading the Gentleman’s Quarterly magazine.  Not much in there that would interest your normal dog…..but then I’m no regular dog.  I did learn that Gentlemen prefer blondes.  Speaking of blondes, did you hear the one about …….sorry.  They were telling those stories at the Gentlemen’s Club last week.  I didn’t think it was a proper place for a real Gentleman so I’m not going back.  How was I supposed to know?!  Now, though not what a gentleman should do, let’s focus on me for a minute.  I’m a salt & pepper Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about seven years old and I weigh a healthy twenty pounds now thanks to my foster mom.  Excuse me miss, might I partake of your treats?  My foster mom says I’m really sweet and that I’m good with other dogs and kids as well.  I love being brushed and groomed.  Could you pass the hair gel?  I’m also house trained and know how to use the doggie door.  I’m very quiet - as a gentleman should be - and I’m also polite….I never jump on anyone.  My one area for improvement is learning to walk better on a leash….I’ll pull you along!  So, if you have enough background, how ’bout we enter into a Gentlemen’s (or Gentlewomen’s) Agreement?  You ask for me, Gentry, on your MSRH application.  I’ll bring my manners to your forever home!  Adoption Fee:  $300
