The Katy Visual Performing Arts Center will present the “Arts For All Festival” on March 27, 2010 in Katy, TX.  An “Art Dog Parade” will be part of the fun and MSRH would like to participate.  To do so, we need an energetic individual or individuals to chair this event for MSRH.  If you can help, please contact Lori Magyar at:  Lori.Magyar@erm.com as soon as possible!

The Woodlands Dog Park Club has invited MSRH to participate in their SPRING BARK at Northshore Park in The Woodlands on April 17 (rain date April 24).  Details are still firming but, based on last year’s event, the time will be from 8:00 a.m. till 2:30 p.m.  Come on out and enjoy the outdoors before “the dog days of summer” !!  Prizes will be awarded to rescue groups that 1) raise the most money through pre-event pledges and 2) have the best decorated tent (in a Texas theme)!  Join the fun!

MSRH wants to thank Callie and Kevin Wolf who have agreed to co-chair this event.  Volunteers will be needed to help man the booth.  Our objective is to educate the public on the wonderful qualities of our Miniature Schnauzer breed.

Notes:  If you are fostering a well-behaved mini, this is your chance to showcase your dog!  All dogs must be on a leash or in a crate.  We will not be doing on-site adoptions. This is simply a meet & greet event.

Directions:   Lake Woodlands Drive is the street immediately north of The Woodlands Mall.  Northshore Park is about 1-1/2 miles west of I-45, on your left, just after you cross the bridge over the lake.

Martha Sarrack - one of MSRH’s dedicated and loving volunteers - is once again hosting the MSRH Spring Garage Sale.  Though she’ll be coordinating a sale at her home in Katy, this year Martha wants to try to organize several MSRH garage sales, in various areas of town, to be held on the same day!  We’ll be posting more information here but, in the meantime, if you’d like to get involved or, better, would like to host a MSRH garage sale, please contact Sherry Eitel at sherry@msrh.org or by phone at 281-358-7303 or 713-298-4999.  Mark your calendar for April 17 and begin cleaning out those closets, garages and attics!  MSRH needs your help!!

MSRH is looking for individuals to help plan and participate in one or more fundraisers this year to help celebrate our 10th anniversary!!  Our MSRH volunteers, and all your efforts across the years, are what allows MSRH to rescue so many Schnauzers!  Our events are being organized not just as a fundraiser but as a tribute to our many volunteers and in recognition of our numerous adopters.  We hope you’ll join the fun.  Stay tuned for more information on how you can help and / or participate in these great events!
