Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston

Gabriela is coordinating the next two Meet & Greets with the H.A.P.I. Rescue organization.  This is a “meet & greet the schnauzer” day only!  The event is at the Blue Line Bike Lab at 3302 White Oak in Houston (77007).  It begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m.  We need volunteers to help set up at 4:00 p.m. and take down at 8:00 p.m.  Volunteers & Fosters (with your dogs) are needed to help distribute flyers and answer questions.  Dogs must be on a leash or in a crate.  Contact Gabriela at 832-357-8958 or ggarcia07@rrienergy.com .

PetFest 2010 is a weekend event in Old Town Spring dedicated to finding homes for the many wonderful animals in shelters and within rescue groups across Houston and surrounding areas.  Grab your furry kids and join us for this fun-filled festival of entertainment and education while helping raise money and potentially finding new foster & forever homes!  The event is Saturday, October 23 (10 a.m. till  5:00 p.m.) and Sunday, October 24 (11:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.).  Then stay for Yappy Hour from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m.!  MSRH will have a booth at this event and we’re looking for a chairperson as well as volunteers to work some or all of the festival.  If you’d like more information, or if you can help, contact Sherry at 281-358-7303 or 713-298-4999 or sherry@msrh.org .

This is always a nice fundraiser for MSRH.  Mark the date and let’s start cleaning out that clutter in closets and garages!  Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the event!

Kingwood Barktoberfest (OK…so it’s not October this year….but it’s still a cute name!) will be held on Saturday, November 6 at the Kingwood Town Center Park (8 N. Main Street, Kingwood, TX) from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.).  More details will be coming in September!  MSRH will have a booth and we’re looking for a chairperson for this event as well as volunteers to help man the booth for a few hours.  If you want more information, or want to help, please contact Sherry at 281-358-7303 or 713-298-4999 or sherry@msrh.org .

Artist Linda Brown has designed a beautiful quilt for our current raffle with all the proceeds benefiting MSRH!  This is a beautiful quilt - for a full / queen sized bed.  It’s made of 100% cotton in hues of aqua, cream and brown.  Tickets are $3 each or 4 for $10.  Click the attached link which has (conveniently) 4 tickets to a page!  Just fill in the first ticket and the rest will automatically complete for you.  The drawing will be held on October 1, 2010 - so be sure your tickets are received before then!  Tickets are to be mailed to Laura Virgadamo.  Her address is found at the bottom of the ticket page.  Thank you for supporting MSRH!!  Click Here For Raffle Tickets
