Hi, my name is Chevy, you know like that car, and I am a chocolate, Miniature Schnauzer/Mix boy with natural ears and tail that I love wagging. I weigh about 17 pounds and am about 11 months old.
Let me tell you from the get-go, I have lots of energy and I love, love to play. I get along with the other doggies at my foster home and bug them all the time about playing with me! I need a yard and lots of toys to keep me entertained.

Hi folks, my name is Tristan. I have been at this rescue place for over a year now and I am yearning for a home of my own and someone who will love me and take care of me. I am a black Miniature Schnauzer boy who is 3 years old and weighs 14 pounds I have natural ears and a natural tail too. You see, I am also kind of a scared guy and a bit aggressive around people I haven't gotten to know. I don't mean to be this way, but I have not had the best of life so far. My foster Mom says I need a home with a single person and no other pets. I love my human and tend to become protective. At my foster home she has other dogs and I don't really play with them and if they come around my foster Mom I don't like it very much. I think I am just scared I might lose her. It is just going to take a person who will let me get used to being around them and not try to push me and let me learn to trust again. An experienced dog owner is a must who will just go slow and give me time to warm up without being forced. Please just give me a chance.

My name is Avery because it rhymes with bravery. I am a handsome 3 year old, 23 pound, salt & pepper, Miniature Schnauzer boy with natural ears and tail. I was found with matted long fur and the pound kept me for a couple of weeks but no one came to pick me up - until MSRH saved me. I would prefer a house with a doggie door, even though I do love going on walks with my humans. I get along with the other dog at my foster home and I would love another pal to play with at my forever home. I will let you know that I do not like being in a crate at night and I have a little bit of separation anxiety when left alone, so I would not well in an apartment.
My foster parents say that I am really smart and I learn commands easily. I rarely bark and don't even care about squirrels. I love napping on my foster mom's lap. I am very loving and appreciative of what I have now, but I really do hope that I can find a forever home soon.

Liam is a 6 year old white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a cropped tail. He weighs 15 lbs. He's house trained, but prefers to hang out in his crate. He does well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He's submissive to other dogs but needs time to warm up to humans. Liam needs to be in a home without children as he gets easily startled by sudden moves or loud noise. He's a quiet boy who wants a safe and calm environment. Liam has some hair loss on his chest and legs which will continue to get better as he is on an inexpensive canine thyroid medication with his daily meals. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a cute walking companion Liam might be the one for you.

My name is Waldo and I am what you guys call, a Schnoodle. That's part Miniature Schnauzer and part Poodle - also known as a "Designer Dog". Yep that's me, Waldo. I am seven years old and weigh about 14 pounds. I am salt and pepper in color and have natural ears and a docked tail. My foster mom says that I would do better in a home with only one person, as I get kind of protective of my human. But, I do like the other Schnauzer at her home and we love to play. Mom puts a thunder shirt on me when it storms and I am getting better at every storm at not being so scared. I also like to lay very close to my Foster Mom and get pets on my head and neck. I will give kisses to say thanks! I just need someone to love and to love me back!
Hey y’all, my name’s Buddy Mac. I am a Miniature Schnauzer boy who is 11 years young, I weigh about 15 pounds and have natural ears and a docked tail. I am what they call a parti Schnauzer and am liver and white in color. I really love snuggles, and I’m so excited to meet my furever family. My Foster Dad found me wandering around lost as could be. I couldn’t see from my eyes being infected, and my coat was all matted. So, he took me to BARC to see about getting me fixed up, and it turned out I had a microchip I forgot about. He had to leave me for a week to wait for my old owner...but they never came. It was sad and I didn’t like dog jail, but now I’m happy and healthy being with this rescue group! The eye Vet says I have dry eyes and I need cyclosporine and a salve in each eye 3 times daily. That stuff really works and my Dad says it is not really expensive.
Basically I’m the perfect dog. I wouldn’t dream of going potty in the house. I’m happy to go on walks and I like other dogs. Snuggles......snuggles are my FAVORITE.

This little guy is Richie. And, Richie is not your run-of-the-mill type of guy. He is really special. Richie is a one year old Miniature Schnauzer and weighs about 12 pounds. He is a black and white, parti, boy with natural ears and a docked tail. Richie is going to need a human that has had Schnauzer experience and is definitely the leader of the pack. You see, Richie needs to be trained that he is not the boss and that is going to be someone who has lots of patience and love for this boy. That person is going to be his best friend and will be rewarded with all of Richie's devotion. Until he is trained, we do not believe Richie would do well around children.
My name is Ursula and I am three years old. I am not one of those little tiny Miniature Schnauzers cause I weigh in at about 29 pounds. I am salt and pepper in color and have natural ears and tail. My Foster Dad says I need a forever person who is the alpha one of the family so I don't get away with anything I shouldn't be doing. That does kind of take the fun out of some things though, but I will be good with that. I also need a friend to play with and a yard to run off some of my energy. Maybe even a bigger dog like a Lab. I love being around my foster family and they told me I am one of the best dogs ever at being in a crate. I am potty trained, but I might need a little patience when I get to a new place. Everyone tells me I am a very sweet girl. I just need a forever home to make everything just about perfect. Come and meet me, you won't be sorry you did.
Hey guys, don't count me out cause people call me a "Senior". Yes, I am eleven years old, and my name is Morgan, and I weigh about 16 pounds, am chocolate in color and have natural ears and tail, and I still have a lot of living left to do. I would probably do better as an only dog. Maybe just one other so I don't get lonesome, but I really prefer getting close to my human. I also love laying outside in the sun, just napping and looking around the backyard. I have a bit of a thyroid problem, but it is controlled with some inexpensive tablets twice a day. And, actually, that little pill has given me so much more energy than I used to have. I sometimes forget my age. Got a spot for me in your life? I promise you won't regret it.

Well, what can I say except, yes, I am what they call a "senior" dog. But you would never know it if I didn't tell you. My name is Barney and I am 11 years old and weigh 14 pounds. I have cropped ears and a docked tail and am a light salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer boy. I need a bit older person just to complement me and my level of activity if you want to know. I would also like someone who is home a lot to keep my company. However, I do like going outside and sniffing around and laying in the sun. So, if you have a nice yard and want a nice guy to pal around with, then I am the one for you! Ask for Barney. I'm waiting.
