Our initial order period closed but we have extra calendars for sale! We had some great mini schnauzers compete in our photo contest and the winners grace the cover and each of the 12 months of our 2020 calendar. Additionally, those that placed 14th to 26th place are highlighted on our Honorable Mention pages.
These continue to be popular gifts and are perfect for ringing in the New Year. Calendars will be mailed out weekly as orders are submitted. There are a limited quantity of these extra calendars so get your order in ASAP!
The calendar price is $26 each. Please note: Beginning January 1, MSRH must charge 8.25% sales tax on all merchandise sales, which will take the cost to $28.15.

Each month MSRH takes in ~25 dogs in need of forever homes. They come to us as owner surrenders, strays or directly from the various animal shelters. Each rescue is then evaluated and fully vetted. Many are in need of medical support. MSRH treats ~10 dogs each month for heartworms. Treatment is costly, but life saving. We have no shelter. We rely on loving foster homes to provide a nurturing environment until each rescue finds their new family. When we cannot find a foster home, our rescues are boarded. Boarding is costly, so we are always in need of foster families.If you are willing to open your home to one of our rescues, please fill out our foster application.
MSRH maintains ~45+ in rescue each month. These are dogs in foster homes, undergoing treatment in veterinary clinics and boarded at our partner kennels.

The 2024 MSRH Calendar Contest has kicked off! Be sure to join in this fun competition for our 2024 calendar!
The MSRH 2024 Calendar Photo Contest is here! Are you ready? Our goal this year is to exceed $20,000! We hope you will share a photo of your schnauzer in the competition -- they must be miniature schnauzers (or mixes) and do not have to be rescued from MSRH. The rescue with the most votes wins! Each vote will cost $1.
When is the Contest?
The contest kicked off at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17 and runs until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 27, 2023. This will be our 9th year of hosting this competition. Voting is only open during this time, so enter your photos and get your family and friends to vote for your mini. Or select a cutie in the contest and add your votes to that contestant.
How do I Enter?

Are there Rules for Submitting my Photos?
Yes. Here are the pertinent details:

Must be Miniature Schnauzers (or mixes) that were rescues. Do not have to be rescues from MSRH.

Photos can be from any year – past or current – and can include photos that were previously entered as long as they were not winners.

Each photograph must include only Schnauzers. No other dog breed or humans allowed in the photos.

Entries can be of a single dog or a group.

Digital photographs ONLY. We prefer the photo to be at least 2 megapixels with minimum size of 1600 X 1200 pixels. Higher resolution is preferred as photos of lesser resolution will not produce calendar-quality printed photographs.

No filters, text or watermarks.

Be sure the photo is in focus.

High resolution smart phone photos will be accepted.

Landscape mode is the preferred orientation, but portrait mode will be accepted.

All entries must be original work of the entrant.

MSRH has final approval on all photos submitted.

Any Entry receiving 100 votes will receive a free calendar (~$28 value)

2024 Calendar Contest Raffle - each entrant who raises at least $100 will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card to Chewy.

Weekly Prize Drawings – Mini weekly contests will be announced periodically through email and Facebook. *Prizes may not be offered every week.
