She is nicknamed “ the Observer” by her foster. She sits back and observes then she gets into whatever the her siblings are doing.  She and her siblings run up and down the stairs to the bed all the time as well as in and out of the doggie door at breakneck speed.  Sweet loving girl who knows “puppy, puppy, puppy’ means food or come.  She also knows “let’s go outside”, kennel and sit. She is a laid back, gets into her share of puppy stuff! She is working on her house training certificate also.

Meet Damien Theo! He is a black and white parti-Schnauzer mix. He weighs 11 pounds.

His foster has nicknamed him "the Discoverer” because he is first to check things out.  Social butterfly.  He loves attention and will be your shadow.  He knows “puppy, puppy, puppy’ means food or come.  He knows “let’s go outside”, kennel and sit.  He and his sisters fly in and out of the doggie door as if it is not there. They run up and down the doggie steps to the bed. It’s such a  wonderful game especially when mom is in the bed.  He is curious and a lover.  House training has started and he is working on his house training certificate.

Queso is a tan/white Schnauzer mix. He weighs 16 pounds. He has natural ears and tail. He just completed his heartworm treatment. Because he was treated while he was still young, his veterinarian expects those pesky heartworms to be little more than a footnote in his story. He is house-trained, quiet, and good with other dogs. His feelings about cats are still a mystery, but his feelings about people are crystal clear—he absolutely loves attention! Full-body rubs, warm hugs, and plenty of affection are all on his list of daily necessities. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily melt right into your arms, Queso may be your perfect match.

Because he is a Schnauzer mix his coat does shed, so he may not be the best choice for someone with allergies—but for everyone else, this sweet, snuggly boy is fair game!

Lola Jean is a 9-year-old salt-and-pepper Schnauzer who believes every day is made for fun! She has natural ears and natural tail and weighs 11 pounds. She loves playing with other dogs, learning new things (especially if kibble is involved!), and being close to her people. She’s come so far since joining rescue, and her sweet, resilient spirit shines through every day. To keep her feeling her best, she’ll need to stay on a prescription urinary diet and see her veterinarian every six months. She’d love a home with another playful pup, and while she’s still perfecting her table manners, we think she’s already pretty close to perfect.

Livi Anders is a 4-year-old, 13-pound salt-and-pepper bundle of playful energy. She has natural ears and a cropped tail. Livi is smart, loving and house-trained. She is friendly with people and is okay with other dogs. She will happily play by herself with toys, but she really wants a willing playmate to chase and play tug-of-war with. When she’s not busy playing, she is perfectly happy curled up in your lap and getting some attention. She would not be a good fit for a household with small children.

She has the classic Schnauzer bark and likes to use it. She recently underwent bladder stone surgery and will need to remain on a prescription food.

Salty is a 4 year old salt-and-pepper Schnauzer who loves to play and cuddle. He is the perfect lapdog and will even become super invested in whatever is playing on the TV! He is kennel trained and has mastered sit and touch. He’s a total foodie and enjoys getting to try all kinds of treats and snacks! He has so much love to give to the right adopter! He needs to be in a house WITHOUT other dogs, or children.

Marley Moonshine is a 5-year-old chocolate-and-white Schnauzer. He weighs 15 pounds. He has natural ears and a docked tail.

Max Ransom is a 4-year-old black-and-silver Schnauzer. He weighs 15 pounds. He has natural ears and a docked tail. His favorite place is curled up in your arms, completely melted into a lap-lump. He loves his people and simply wants to love and be loved.

Max’s first four years left him living in survival mode, so he’s highly alert, vocal, and can become fixated when triggered. He’s still learning appropriate social skills with other dogs and can chase smaller animals.

He needs an experienced handler familiar with reactive dogs, a house with a yard and lots of structure. Ideally he would be in a home that has larger, confident dogs and no cats.

Katie Kylie is an 8-year-old chocolate Schnauzer mix. She weighs 3.5 pounds. She has natural ears and a docked tail. She is a tiny girl with a big personality who absolutely loves being held and close to her people. She would do best in a quiet adult home without children or frequent young visitors. Katie can be feisty when startled and may nip out of fear, but since she has no teeth, she cannot cause injury. Once she feels safe and secure, this behavior decreases significantly. She is crate trained, relatively quiet, and gets along well with other dogs. Leash walking is still a work in progress, as new sights and sounds can be intimidating. Katie thrives with patience, consistency, and plenty of cuddles.

Marie Lanie is a 17-year-old chocolate Schnauzer mix. She weighs 7.4 pounds. She has natural ears and a docked tail.

Pepper is a 13-pound, dark grey and white Schnauzer with natural ears and tail. She is all puppy, with bouncy ears and a good amount of mischief. Pepper’s ideal home includes a play mate (a friend who will engage, not just tolerate and not be aggravated). She needs patient parents and the ability to do rehab to strengthen her leg. We believe she was hit by a car.  Pepper has had FHO (hip) surgery and she is working on regaining strength in that leg. Pepper wants to be in an active home, do not apply if you’re looking for a lazy lap dog. She is house trained and doggy door trained and walks well on leash.

*7/30 Update: Pepper has mast cell cancer and requires lymph node removal surgery and chemotherapy.

Looking for a calm, easygoing companion? Meet Arlo Cade. This 9-year-old, 16-pound white Miniature Schnauzer is house-trained, rides well in the car and is great at the groomer. He has natural ears and a docked tail. He’s friendly with other dogs and can live with canine companions or be your only dog. He’s a bit shy with people at first but warms up quickly. Arlo is simply a sweet, laid-back fellow.
